Mummy’s Breastfeeding Bread Recipe

Boost breast milk production with our Breastfeeding Bread Recipe! Enjoy any time of the day, with sweet or savoury fillings. We love to use this recipe for breakfast as toast topped with Raspberry Jam. 


  • One and a half cups of water (room temperature)

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin Olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Three cups granary bread flour

  • 1 tsp white sugar

  • 2 tsp dried yeast mix

  • 4 tbsp Mummy’s Breastfeeding seeds

  • 2 tbsp pine nuts

Makes 500g loaf

Step 1: 

Preheat your oven at 230 C / 450 F/gas mark 8.

Step 2: 

Grease a loaf tin with butter.

Step 3: 

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the water
and oil then knead until the dough is smooth. It should be quite sticky and wet.

Step 4: 

Add to your greased tin, cover with a plastic bag then leave in a warm place for two hours or until doubled in size.

Step 5: 

Bake at 230 C / 450 F/gas mark 8 for 15 mins then turn down and cook for a further 20 mins at 200 C / 400 F/gas mark 6.

Step 6: 

When cooked, turn onto a wire rack until cool.
